Boobies..

Firstly, please keep an open mind when reading this post. If you’re under 18 or easily offended, you dont have to read any further ok.  I’m just ranting here

 

The other day, I was reading one article on “breasts”.. Wohoo.. Well.. It was actually about breast cancer lah kan but then it had some feedbacks from men as well.. What do they think about breasts.. And.. since I’m a very cool and handsome man.. I’d like to give my take as well

 

Now.. I dont expect to see many comments on this as we’re all very conservative people. We dont normally talk openly about the human body kan.. unless when we’re in the company of our good friends.. hehehe… 

 

Ok.. so here we go.. after reading the first few paragraphs.. they were writing about bra size. Apparently, many women dont even know their correct bra size. Why is that? Is it so hard to go to the shop and measure your bust? 

 

 

 

And then.. they were saying that.. some women, use their designer bras or the push up versions for sports. Hey.. even I know that when you do sports, you’ll need a sports bra. 

 

 

Now.. let’s go in a lil deeper shall we? Let me get this straight.. women think that guys go bonkers when it comes to boobies. Seriously, not all guys dig big boobs. Most of us like it to be real. Big or not so big. It’s the truth. I shall not go into the right or wrongs here as I’m not here to judge and this is solely my opinion. So.. from that article again, women actually dress up for men. Meaning, if they’re trying to impress or attract some attention,  they might wear some low cut blouse. Ok. That works. On the attention part. But then, when people keep staring at it.. please dont get upset. Especially when you talk to them… they might not make any eye contact as those eyes are actually focussed on something else.. hehehe.. 

 

And then.. on some internet forum, they were discussing about this particular actress. She actually had a boob job done when those guys were saying that she looked much much better before she went under the knife. This is a before picture.. 

 

 

So.. what I’m saying is.. sometimes, women make the wrong call to actually have their boobs bigger only to realize that in actual fact, men want it to be natural. 

 

Now.. lets discuss about photographing women.. Sensually. 

On many photography forum, we have many photographers trying to shoot scantily clad women. From my opinion, it’s very hard to shoot to make it look classy and not make the model look slutty. There’s plenty of light play but many guys fail to achieve this. Here’s a few examples that I think worked.

Ok.. Now finally, this is how I would like to summarize my little story here.. Guys may like to look at boobies BUT it is NOT the reason for them to fall in love. To all the women who might be reading this.. be proud of your own body. Be your self.

Okay.. so now you may ask me.. why so hot laa right? And here’s the story why…

 

Recently, I was in Jakarta. For work incase you’re asking.. And while I was there, the weather was really Hot and I met a beautiful young girl by the name of Flame. 

So.. that’s where I got the title.. Flaming Hot.

Smart eh? I think I’m really cool lah for being so smart to think of such a cool title LoL!

 

Ok..ok.. enough with the compliments.. I’m flattered already..

 

Now, let me introduce Flame to you.. Well.. her name is Flame. 

She’s young and she happens to be a model. 

 

 

When I was there, I took some pictures of her when she and her brother Jesse took me to Taman Mini. Taman Mini is like a mini Indonesia. Very nice. But the only problem was, the park was mostly closed. So, we didnt get to see that much though. 

 

 

Ok.. let me continue my introduction of Flame..

She’s actually Portuguese-Dutch-Indian-Indonesian (Quite a handful eh? hehehe..) 

Currently, she’s teaching English in Jakarta and taking a break from modeling coz she’s 4 months pregnant. Even when pregnant, she could take some time off to show me around. That’s very nice of her and her brother.

We also went for some original Nasi Padang there. Excellent. Nothing like what we have here in KL.

 

Anyway, before I went back to my hotel, they brought me to some local DVD shop there. Bought a few souvenirs  to bring back home lah hehehe..

That’s when I took the picture of Flame which you saw at the top just now..

So.. before I end my story about my Jakarta trip, here’s a few more of Flame and her brother Jesse.

Nobel Prize Winner in the making…

Hey everyone…

 

Recently, I’ve been doing some thinking. I dont do it pretty often (the thinking part..) as it uses plenty of energy so, I try to save it for the really important stuff like, should I download Megan Fox or Scarlett Johansen’s picture.. or, how many pair of socks should I bring to work.. you know lah kan.. the kind of things big and important people think about. So, anyway.. I was thinking right.. what if I wanna be a writer?

 

A few years ago when I was still in school, I still remember my teacher gave me an A+ for my essay during one of the trial exams. But the actual exams no need to tell lah ok. I dont like to brag. Anyway, recently, I did 2 short stories for my company. I think the quality is so damn good that I might win a Nobel Prize. If I win it, dont worry, I’ll try to thank everyone I know here ok..

There’s one thing I hate.. 

 

Show offs.. 

 

I hate it when people brag about something.. this laa.. that laa.. I’m the greatest laa.. you’re not terrer laa.. etc..

Please lah.. Other people got better things to hear than what you’ve just bought or how your 2 year old kid can read the encyclopedia.. yadaa..yadaa…

Boring!!

 

But.. I’m not like that right? I dont show off what I’ve done or anything like that kan.. I only share stories.. Nice interesting and educational stories. 

 

Like for example… This month, I wouldnt tell people that some of my work was published in a few local magazines. 

Ada I show off to people..? No right.. Ada I bawak jalan jalan inside my car just incase I meet a friend and accidentally drop it so that they can see my work? No. I wouldnt do such a thing. I’m not like that..

I never tell people that a few months ago I did a photoshoot with Estee Lauder and the pictures came out in Female, InTrend and Nu You magazine.

 

 

Sheeshh… I’m a just low profile and shy guy that never likes to do those things as mentioned above. 

 

In fact.. I dont even want to tell people that in the August issue of Digital Camera Magazine, one of my pictures won. 

 

 

Oh.. and I definitely wouldnt tell that I won a Giotto Ball Head. 

That’s so lame kan…

Menang Ball Head pun nak cerita ke..??? 

 

I’ll tell you one thing.. If I ever meet these kind of people who likes to brag kan.. kan.. you know what I’d do…

Roller Coaster month :)

Let me tell you that since my last post, there has been plenty of happenings in my life. 

Some ups and downs that really shook me a bit but it has stabilized a little now. Things have settled in and I can story a bit laa what happen. I’ll tell you about the “ups” okay..

And then.. guess what again?

I went to the Sepang track with all the other Type-Rs. It was a really good outing with those guys but the main thing that made my day was.. I broke my own personal best time. Just like Usain Bolt. I broke my own personal world record. Previously, it was 2min 47sec but this time, I did 2min 44sec. That’s shocking news kan.. I shaved off 3 seconds. And I was wearing jeans some more. Imagine if I was using shorts and didnt eat breakfast and go poo poo before the session, I could cut down a few  more seconds kan. Sure become very terrer and then Ferrari would call me up to replace Massa and all.. Haish.. 

 

Hehehee… Enough stories about me now.. I m not so conceited laaa… Not as much as you think. heh. 

Just a few days ago, I was at a friends studio. His name is Azman and he just did his “studio mudio” launch. Very nicely done. Am very proud of him. Here’s some pics I took during the launch.

the Red Stig…

 

Ring..ring..

Me:  Heylooo…

Schumacher:  Hey buddy.. It’s been a long time ya.. How’s things..?

Me:  Eyyy.. Mikey.. Things are good.. How’s your F1 prep going?

Schumi:  Ahh.. it’s a little bit harder than I thought.. Anyway, Jeremy called me..

Me:  Jeremy who? Clarkson?

Schumi:  Yeah.. And he was wondering if you could fill me in as the Stig while I’m replacing Massa.

Me:  Aww.. man.. I’m a bit tied up with Model shoots and all but for you my old buddy.. I’ll squeeze the time..

 

And so.. that’s how it began.. 

You see.. for the non petrolheads, BBC has this show called Top Gear. The host is Jeremy Clarkson. And it’s a show about cars and all lah rite.. And the test driver for the show is called Stig. The identity of Stig is unknown. It’s normally either White or Black Stig. So.. to cut a long story short, Stig tests all the rides in Top Gear and he’s very famous. Recently, Michael Schumacher revealed he was the Stig. (fellas.. to know more.. you google lah okay..)

 

So.. now, I’m the Red Stig. And I’m required to test the Honda Civic Type-R (FD2R).

Here’s some technical specs  for those who wish to know…

Engine: 2 Litre iVtec

Horsepower: Can do lah.. Enough to smoke the normal Civic

Handling: Very Good.. 

 

So.. this is how it is during the test..

And so.. off the Red Stig went accelerating from 0-very fast..

Huish.. Red Stig is impressed !

 

And then.. the brochure said, this car handles very well.. So.. lets see if the Red Stig can tame this beast..

 

 

Wow.. This car is actually quite good lah.. I think it’s more at home in the tracks than on the road but  for certain people.. you can use it as a family car to ferry the kids to school or to take your parents to the mall and all.. Up to you lah.. hehehe..

So.. this is the Red Stig’s verdict..

Okaylah.. I’m actually on Annual Leave and was supposed to go on vacation with the family but with the AH1N1 and all.. we decided to take our holiday destination locally. Estee Lauder Model Search 2009 by ari7474

Just a few days ago.. some of my best mates decided to climb Mount Kinabalu. They invited me but I on the other hand, had a trip to Tanjung Jara in Terengganu. 

Now, if you were me.. which would you go? 

a) To strain my muscles and climb the mountain. 

b) To spend 3 days with the winners of the Estee Lauder Model Search 2009 competition.

 

EXACTLY! I chose “b” as well coz it’s the noble thing to do

 

So.. Ladies and gentlemen, let me show you Tg Jara.

Wrong.. It’s Damn Nice.. Hahahhaa…

 

Anyway, lets not waste time and get straight to the best part. The shooting of the models. 

Before that, I’d like to introduce the models to you. 

Ok.. I didnt do the standard interview like how the press used to interview me because I’m famous and all (hahahaa….) but instead, I tried to get to know the real them. How they are when not in front of the camera. Now thats really hard for someone shy and modest but handsome like me but yeah.. someone’s gotta do it right?

 

Anyway, we’ll start with the winner for Category A and Sony’s Most Photo Perfect.. Jennifer Pedersen.

Okay.. There’s no doubt she’s very pretty and photogenic but the thing is.. I find her very cute too. The way she carries herself. She’s very cheeky and playful. Very down to earth. I think, that was why the judges fell in love with her. Her character. In other words.. very funny yet when in front of the camera, she could pull off any look she wants. Superb.

Okay.. 

Next one is.. Carol. The Category B winner. (Cat B is for contestant above 30yrs old)

 

Carol is a yoga instructor and my..my.. She’s 38 but she looks like she’s 28. She’s soooo nice in person. In fact, too nice. You can never hear her talk bad about anything. Always smiling and cheerful. I think her 2 kids would be very proud of their Hot Mama.. Wohooo….

 

And last but not least, it’s Eclipse’s Most Elegant and Andrew’s Models Most Promising Catwalk winner… Juanita.

Who happen to also be Malaysia’s Dreamgirl 2 winner.

This lady here is a no nonsense type of girl. She likes to get things done properly and she’s very competitive. Very serious with her work and she pulled off some high fashion super model kinda pose. She’ll make it big as a model.

“Ey Juanita.. when you’re in Milan or Paris or New York shooting.. dont forget me yaa.. “

The thing is.. these ladies here.. they’re all very nice people. Nice people with good looks. Just like me except I’m the male version laa.. hahaha..

the Italian Job with Sony A900..

My..my.. It’s been a while since I’ve last updated eh? Miss me? Really?? Awww… Let’s not get emotional okay.. I’m here.. Shhh.. It’s alright.. Let it all out..

 

Hahahaa… 

 

Anyway.. yeah.. It’s been pretty hectic for me. With work and all but just a few days ago, I was in Rome and I made some new Italian friends. They were my second as my first Italian good friend is Monica Belucci

 

It’s just that many times she called and text me, I was busy kan.. So.. It’s been a while since we had our teh tarik. Hahahaa.. 

Yeah.. Dreams are free.. Wohoo..

 

Ok lah.. Lets get back to business. Recently, I’ve had the opportunity to try out the super duper Sony Alpha A900. And what better way to test it than to bring it to Italy right? Man.. With 24 Megapixels, the file size was huge. Details were awesome. So, here’s how I spent my days in Rome. 

 

Upon arrival, I slept. Zzzzzz.. Didnt snore. Just the normal shut eye. Then, when I got up, I was hungry. Had some bread and then my friend called. 

Friend: “Ey Ari.. you awake?”

Handsome: “Yeah.. hungry lah..”

Friend: “Good.. Lets go Ostia and have makan”

 

Within minutes, I was up and had my shower. Looking good as usual (I’m not a vain pot but it’s the truth. Hahahaa..) and off we went to Ostia.

Ostia is by the beach and they have plenty of cool… err.. beaches.

 

Nice kan? All the young Italians were there chillin out by the bars and beach clubs.

So.. me and my friend walked and walked until we found this place that sells pizza. I had one of them Margharita Pizza which is tomato and cheese. Damn Nice

 

And then, without me realizing, next door, there was some sort of party going on. With stage dancers and all. Very nice dancers I might add..

 

There was plenty of people dancing with the beat. Some really cool stuff. I’m not sure what type of dance it was but I can bet you it wasn’t the shuffle or any hip hop dance battle laa kan.. hahahaa..

 

Anyway.. that was for day 1, on day 2, I went to town and previously, I met a sweet young girl. Her name is Francesca Ferrari. Yes.. It’s Ferrari (my fave F1 team). So, I asked her if I could take some of her pictures and she obliged. She also invited me out to dinner with her aunts as well.

 

 

She was studying in Malaysia for 2 years and now she’s back in Rome. 

And then.. Aunt Emilia brought us to dinner at a very cool Italian joint. Real authentic Italian food. Unlike those you find at Pizza Uno.. 

Food there was really good and the company was even better. I learnt a lot from that day itself then all this time when I went to Rome all by myself.

Ari does New Zealand…

Hey there peeps…

 

Let me tell you.. It’s bloody cold there. Sunset was around 5.30pm and it was cloudy and it did rain sometimes.. 

 

What am I talking about..? Well, I was in Auckland with a few friends.. We decided to drive around and snap some pictures. Pretty cool idea rite? Ok..ok.. Yes. I know we dont have to be a rocket scientist to know that the scenery in New Zealand is breath taking. But.. because I dont want to be like any other Tom, Dick and Harry that shoots landscapes (actually.. in all honesty, I cant shoot landscapes.. even if I copy it from a postcard also it wont work.. sad right??), I’ve decided to shoot what I saw as we drove along heading south from Auckland.

 

Ok.. So, I was the designated driver. We drove for over 800km in 2 days. Massive. And we did take some short stops along the way for smoke break laa.. wee wee break laa.. camwhore break laa.. and so on and so forth.. but, the most cool stop we did was when one of my friends wanted to take pictures with the cows in NZ. I was like.. Ok. Lets pose with them cows.. So.. after we got off our car, I went straight to chatting them up. As you know, before we shoot models, we need to make them comfortable kan..kan..

 

Ari: Hey Cows..

Cow: Moo.. (Yo man.. what’s up..? Havent seen cows before..?)

Ari: Of course seen before.. but just asking if you guys wanna pose for my Nikon? I can make you and your friends famous…

Cow: Moo..moo.. (Yeah.. Sure thing buddy..)  

 

So.. after my brief conversation with them and a couple of ciggies later.. we drove off heading further south. 

After several “beep beep” warning from the GPS saying that I was 4 km/h over the speed limit, we stopped again. This time was to snap some pictures. Nice scenery but I’ve decided to post this picture of my friend. I kinda like it.

Oh please.. enough flattery.. You guys and gals are making me blush laa praising me too much.. Hahahahahaa…

 

Anyway.. I’ll continue my story laa ok.. So, basically, we went to Huka Falls, Lake Taupo, and this beach called.. called what eh? I forgot laa.. The name sounds like.. Wakarinauo Beach or something like that.. Later I check the map again.. So please dont scold me if I got it wrong.. not my fault.. 

Anyway, here’s what I got from the beach.. it was nice.. the sunset and all.. Wanna see?

The life of the people there seems very laid back. Relaxed. I’m sure their stress levels are low compared to say.. my hometown in Manhattan.. LOL..

 

At the end of the day.. After driving for 2 days and seeing part of New Zealand, I’ve concluded that it is indeed a nice place to visit. If only we had more time there it would’ve been better. But.. I’m not gonna complain.. I was happy to even be there..

Dreams..

Hey there..

 

I know it’s been awhile since I’ve posted. I’ve been pretty tied up. Oh well.. lately, I’ve been thinking.. Do you all have dreams? Goals? Something that you really want to achieve but dont really know how?

 

Well.. I dont have the answers but I read a book 2 years ago that says most people want to be good/great. Meaning they want to excel in what they do but dont want to make the sacrifice. What I’m trying to say is.. I have a goal, I want to be good in my day job and at the same time, excel in my photography. But.. there’s the sacrifice part. I’d have to forego much time trying to achieve my goals. Now, is that wrong? I sometimes have this sort of arguments in my head saying that I need to slow things down a bit but I cant. I also read that people in my age group, they’re really hell bent on succeeding.

Anyway, this is how I feel actually.. in me. Fighting with myself all the time. A part of me is saying that some of the things that I’m doing right now is wrong but another part says its okay.. 

So peeps, sometimes, you do have to make sacrifices in order to achieve what you want. I’m still trying to balance my hectic life. I do hope someday I’ll get to where I want to be and still keep all that I have intact. 

 

Yeah.. I know.. being emo again. But, so as not to drag all of you into my emoness, I’ll share a picture of Stella with ya ok? This was shot last week. I kinda like it.
